We would like to welcome you back (and say a big hello and welcome to all of our new members) to the 2025-2026 season of the Bluegrass Estate Planning Council!  Our Board has worked diligently throughout the summer to bring you a wonderful calendar of programs.  You can find the full list on our website located here: https://www.bgepc.org/events

For our first meeting, we are excited to welcome David Grau, Sr, to speak to our group.

David Grau Sr. is a full-time author and passionate advocate for small business stewardship. In a career spanning over three decades, David has advised thousands of small business owners on issues of succession planning and enterprise value. But more recently his focus has shifted — not away from business, but much deeper into its purpose. His current writing centers on a simple but powerful belief: that small business owners have the capacity, and arguably the responsibility, to leave the world in a better place than they found it.

In his latest book, The Stewardship Advantage: Building a Profitable and Principled Small Business – with the Power to Change the World, David Sr. offers practical and professional guidance on how to be a good small business steward—not just of profits and shareholders — but of all stakeholders including one’s community, customers, employees, suppliers, partners, officers, and the environment. He writes to a global audience of owners, leaders, and changemakers ready to do business differently…and better, for generations to come!

We are happy to continue hosting our meetings at the incomparable DoubleTree Guest Suites located at 2601 Richmond Road.  A buffet lunch will be served.  The cost of this meeting is $20 for members and $25 for guests.

If you wish to attend this meeting, please RSVP no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, August 29th by either clicking this link - https://www.bgepc.org/events/event/28366  - or by replying directly to this email.  Please be sure to RSVP so that we have plenty of space and food for everyone.  Those who come to the meeting having not RSVP'd may run the risk of being turned away at the door if there is not enough space, so please be sure to RSVP even if you have pre-paid your lunches for the year.  You may cancel your reservations up to the time of the event.

If you will be bringing a guest, please be sure that I have their name so that a nametag can be prepared for them.

Just as a reminder, if you have not renewed your membership yet, you are welcome to do so at the door on Tuesday or renew online at https://www.bgepc.org/members/renewal (new members can apply at https://www.bgepc.org/members/application).  Please be aware that anyone not renewing by October 1, 2025, will be removed from the membership and email distribution lists.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 2nd, from 11:30-1:00 at the DoubleTree Guest Suites!
