We are excited to welcome Mr. Tom Barker as speaker for our December meeting. 

 

Mr. Barker is the Executive Director of Gift and Estate Planning for the University of Kentucky, which is one of the largest charitable gifting recipients in the state of Kentucky.  Before joining UK in their Department of Philanthropy in 2011, he was an Attorney with Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Maloney in Lexington.  He is a graduate of Transylvania University and the UK College of Law.

 

This meeting will focus on various tools and methods of gifting, including Private Foundations, Donor-Advised Funds and other common, and not-so-common methods of giving.  Mr. Barker brings very valuable insight and experience and looks forward to answering any questions you may have.

 

***This is also the first of two meetings where we will draw for a $500 Visa gift card.  You must be a member to win, and you MUST BE PRESENT to win.***

Please note that if you come to the meeting without RSVP'ing, you may or may not be admitted entrance based upon the number of those who RSVP. Cancellations will be accepted until 5:00 PM on MondayDecember 3rdIf you do not cancel your reservation, you WILL be billed for the regular meeting fee as the Council becomes financially obligated to cover costs.
