DESCRIPTION:\n \n \n \n \nWHAT: Capacity/Special Needs/Fraud Panel\n \nWHO:  Justin Jeter - Cornerstone, Frankfort, KY and Gene Haynes - Central Bank & Trust Co., Lexington, KY\n \nWHERE:  DoubleTree Guest Suites, 2601 Richmond Rd, Lexington, KY\n \nWHEN:  Tuesday, January 6, 2026 - 11:30 AM-1:00 PM\n \nCOST:  $20 for members, $25 for guests\n \nHappy New Year!  For our first meeting of 2026, we are happy to bring a panel of guests to speak to our group on the topics of Capacity, Special Needs and Fraud.  We'd like to welcome Justin Jeter and Gene Haynes as our guest panelists.\n \nJustin Jeter is the former Policy Coordinator for the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities in Frankfort, KY.  Now with Cornerstone (also in Frankfort), he takes the knowledge and expertise gleaned from his years at CCDD to support clients in a wide range of industries both in and out of the KY legislative session, conducting research and providing updates on state legislative matters and diverse regulatory issues.  Justin earned his MA & BBA from the University of Kentucky.\n \nGene has nearly 30 years of experience in Fraud Investigations. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University’s College of Law Enforcement, he has previously worked as a multistate Regional Fraud Investigator for a supercenter chain department store before joining the Lexington Police Department in 2001, where  he served as a Field Training Officer, a Detective assigned to the Residential Burglary and Financial Crimes Units, and a Task Force Officer assigned to the IRS Criminal Investigations Division. During his employment, he was credited with successfully prosecuting more than 600 felony criminal cases. He currently is employed as the Fraud Investigations Supervisor at Central Bank & Trust where he oversees and investigates day to day fraud cases including forgeries, counterfeit checks, fraudulent credit card transactions, wire fraud and elder financial exploitation.  He currently serves as the Chairperson for the Central Kentucky Financial Institution Security Officers Association and is a board member of the Kentucky Organized Retail Crime Association. \n \nThis meeting will be held at DoubleTree Guest Suites located at 2601 Richmond Road. A  delicious buffet lunch will be served. The cost of this meeting is $20 for members and $25 for guests.\n \nIf you wish to attend this meeting, please  RSVP no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, January 2nd,  by either clicking this link - https://www.bgepc.org/events/event/28371 - or by replying directly to this email. Please be sure to RSVP so that we have plenty of space and food for everyone. Those who come to the meeting having not RSVP'd may run the risk of being turned away at the door if there is not enough space, so please be sure to RSVP  even if you have pre-paid  your lunches for the year.
