DESCRIPTION:\nFor our December meeting, we are excited to have current member, Beverley Stafford (American Cancer Society) and Jonathan Raymon (Baird Trust Co.) to speak to the group.  ’Tis the season to be charitable, and undoubtedly your clients are looking for ways to give back.  Our speakers will cover advanced topics in charitable planning to help guide you in guiding them.\n \nPLEASE NOTE: From now through our January meeting, we will be meeting at the Lexington Opera House, 401 W. Short Street, on the 3rd floor.  Limited street parking is available around the Opera House, with a paid parking lot and a parking garage located directly across Broadway.  The DoubleTree Guest Suites hotel, where we normally meet, is currently undergoing extensive renovations.  We will commence meeting there again with our February 2024 meeting.\n \nBeverley Stafford is a Director of Estate and Gift Planning with the American Cancer Society covering Kentucky and Indiana.  Prior to joining ACS, she served as Executive Director and then President of the Indiana chapter of the National MS Society.  She also served as an elected Town Council member for Avon, Indiana between 2006 and 2018.  Beverley earned her BA in Business Administration from Indiana Institute of Technology.\n \nJonathan Raymon is Vice President and a Charitable Solutions Strategist for Baird Trust in their Louisville, KY office.  He has 10 years of experience in the investment industry and holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor designation.  Before joining Baird Trust, Jonathan worked with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions and also the IRS’s Office of Chief Counsel as a legal intern.  He earned his BA from Loras College, his Master’s from the University of Houston and a JD from the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law.\n \nA buffet lunch with be served at this meeting.  Lunch and networking begin at 11:30 with the meeting starting at 12:00.  We will finish around 1:00.  The cost of this meeting is $20 for members and $25 for guests. \n \nIf you wish to attend this meeting, you must RSVP no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, December 1st, by either clicking this link - https://www.bgepc.org/events/event/24643 - or by replying directly to this email.  Please be sure to RSVP so that we have plenty of space and food for everyone.  Those who come to the meeting having not RSVP'd may run the risk of being turned away at the door if there is not enough space, so please be sure to RSVP even if you have pre-paid your lunches for the year.  You may cancel your reservations up to the time of the event.\n \nIf you will be bringing a guest, please be sure that I have their name so that a nametag can be prepared for them.\n \nWe look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, December 5th, from 11:30-1:00 at the Lexington Opera House!\n \nMelissa Gregory, Council Executive\n \n~We LOVE our sponsors and thank them for their continued support!~\n \nPLATINUM:  \n \nCentral Bank\n \nCommunity Trust and Investment Company \n \n \n \nGOLD:  \n \nCorporate Finance Associates\n \nFifth Third Bank\n \nMCF Advisors\n \nStock Yards Bank and Trust\n \n \n \nSILVER:\n \nWealthsouth\n
